Continental Grand Prix 4-Season Bicycle Tire (700x23, Black) Reviews
10 of 10 people found the following review helpful One Tough Tire, July 18, 2010 By PurplePiano88 (Arkansas) - See all my reviews This review is from: Continental Grand Prix 4 Season Road Tire (Misc.) I ride around 3,000 miles per year on some pretty rough roads. I've had a set of these on my bike long enough to completely wear the tread off the tires and have only had one flat that I can remember. Traded them for a very nice set of tires from a different manufacturer for the summer season and had 4 flats in one month. I put my old Continental Grand Prix 4 Season tires back on, and will run them until the new ones I've ordered arrive. If my new set performs as well as my old one does, I will continue to run these tires as long as they are available. I highly recommend these tires!
6 of 6 people found the following review helpful Great tires, November 16, 2010 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Continental Grand Prix 4 Season Road Tire (Sports) Bought these to replace the stock Bontrager race lite tires (aka: lead weights) on my Trek 520. They roll beautifully and are very supple; you can feel the pavement underneath you. I've always run Conti's GP's on my bikes but I really like these tires. I also weighed them when I got them and they were around 270 grams a piece, so they are light too. I won't run any other tire but I do run them a little under max pressure because I feel they ride better and I randonneur so the comfort over the long haul is important to me.
5 of 5 people found the following review helpful Great traction, low rolling resistance, but most importantly - NO FLATS!!!, November 25, 2010 By Carpe Diem (PA, US) - See all my reviews This review is from: Continental Grand Prix 4 Season Road Tire (Misc.) I also needed to get rid of the cumbersome stock Bontragers that came with my Trek so I purchased Michelin Krylion tires because they were supposed to be durable. I started to flat every week so I did some research and decided to try the Continental 4 Season tires.
Well, 500+ miles after installing the Contis I've been flat-free (fingers crossed). These miles included riding though chipped and tarred streets, potholes, debris, glass, etc. - not bike-riding friendly streets for the most part. These tires are low weight but have a high tpi count giving them exceptional "grippyness" and low rolling resistance. I love the feel and will be purchasing them for my next set (hopefully not any time soon).
